On location- TERRA FIRMA- Cedar Rapids IA

Early morning scouting shots in the corn fields northeast of Cedar Rapids during the filming of TERRA FIRMA.
The vastness of this region, with it's looming sky, it's forever vistas, makes one feel very small.

On location- TERRA FIRMA- Brunswick GA

Still photography from Gilliard Farms, Brunswick, Georgia, during TERRA FIRMA filming.

Arriving early we wandered the property, the morning light trying to cut through the fog, and captured the quiet solitude with it's history hanging from the great trees and time peeling off the old house.
It is a magical place.

On The Road...

On our drives to Charleston, South Carolina, we take the backroads and we always end up on Highway 78. It's a great two-lane, pedal to the floor, windows open with the radio blasting kind of strip. We have been pulling over and shooting this tree and house between Elko and Blackwell South Carolina for some time now.

The tree gets bigger and the house decays a little bit more into the ground.
Here is the latest shot.

Portland-

Whoa!  That was amazing.  Thanks to everyone who came out last night to the screening, to the Friends of Family Farmers for putting it together and the staff at Holocene for providing a great and welcoming space to see our film (two screens, killer sound system!!!).

Special thanks to Mickey Clayton for speaking so eloquently on behalf of women farmer veterans.

Interiors - FIVE

An interior designer/stylist's home is a Bohemian Rhapsody

A certain eccentricity...

And that's a wrap!

Thank you to all the photo editors for bringing us onboard, the field editors for finding these amazing locations, all the homeowners that let us into their homes and lives (and allow us to create havoc for few a hours), and especially to the stylists who make it look so great.
