Stan, Mt. Gilead Farm, Woodland, AL
A gentle man with a burgeoning farm operation of diverse vegetables and natural egg production. His fields follow the contours of the rolling hills of Randolph County. Breathtaking!
Stan is one of the farmers who sells his eggs and vegetables through Moore Farms and Friends, a marketing association of small sustainable and organic farmers.

On Location!
For a piece we're working on for a marketing association of small sustainable and organic farmers, we headed out to Tallapoosa, GA to interview Brian Heatherington of Beech Creek Farms. Brian grows several kinds of amazingly delicious apples utilizing sustainable growing methods like IPM (integrated pest management) and solar power to run his irrigation system. Besides the apples he also grows peaches and a variety of vegetables on what used to be his family's dairy farm.
